Trench France S.A.S.

The company was founded in 1904 near Basel (Switzerland) by Emil Haefely, an inventor of many important processes which played a decisive role in the development of the electrotechnical industry at beginning of the 20th century.

The company quickly extended its activities in the fields of Capacitors, Instrument Transformers, Bushings and Equipments for Test Systems under high and ultra high voltage.

In 1921 the company set up its facilities also in Saint-Louis, France.

At the beginning of the nineties Haefely merged with Trench Electric and Spezielektra to form the Haefely Trench Group. In 1999 Trench France S.A.S., still keeping an office in Basel, became the new head corporation.

Today Trench France S.A.S. draws from over hundred years of experience in the field of oil insulated Instrument Transformers and Bushings. New developments include Special Capacitors and Non Conventional Instrument Transformers.
