Trench was a pioneer for the delivery of the first SF6 insulated Voltage Transformers for GIS installations in 1965. Today Trench manufactures a complete range of:
- Current Transformers – type SA/SAD (single and three phase)
- Voltage Transformers – type SU/SUD (single and three phase)
- For applications from 72.5 kV up to 800 kV (up to 245 kV for three phase)
Features
- Designed in accordance with main international standards
- Custom-designed for each specific application
- Integrated ferroresonance suppression
- Shielded against transient overvoltages
- Guaranteed SF6 -leakage rate of less than 1 % per year
- Equipped with pressure relief disc and deflection device
- All components are designed and tested for mechanical stress to withstand up to at least 20 g
- Accuracy classes in accordance to DIN VDE 0414, IEC 60044, ANSI: IEEE C57.13, AS 1243 (other standards or classes on request)
- Shock indicators warning against inadmissible acceleration during transportation
